A Bissaleh about Bissaleh
For almost 10 years now, Bissaleh, meaning a little bit in Yiddish, sure packs a punch when it comes to their food. They are the most popular choice in the neighborhood for all your gourmet, dairy and fish needs. Owned by Ossi and Julias Klayman and Miri and Chef Roy Moav, Bissaleh Cafe is a fun and hip restaurant, located right off the ocean. The proximity is probably a good reason why they have so many tremendous fish items. Julias says that he literally gets it delivered fresh from the sea to the restaurant.

With a warm and rustic setting, Bissaleh Cafe offers its customers over 80 different selections to choose from. The Shak-Shuka is nice way to start off the day as well as their authentic specialities of Borekas, Malawach and Fatut Bissaleh, a flaky dough pastry filled with feta cheese and toppings such as olives, mushrooms and spinach. If you’re in the mood for a soup, the onion soup is highly recommended, and is served with a baguette covered with melted cheese. We have a number of platters and their full leafy, entree-size, gourmet salads is a fan favorite. The family-friendly restaurant also has many personal pizzas served right from their stone oven. The reasonably priced pasta and fresh fish dishes are what most people crave when they come here. The Linguine with salmon in a light garlic cream sauce is quite delicious as is the Sesame Crusted Tuna Steak in teriyaki sauce. Homemade tiramisu and crem brulee are also available.

Chef Roy, who, as the other owners like to point out, is single and eligible and has years of experience cooking in Israel. In fact, he ran one of the trendiest places over there. Likewise, the owners of Bissaleh Cafe want you to feel comfortable and relaxed here. What can be better than catching an ocean breeze, sipping a house drink while seeing out as far as the horizon? This is truly a place where you can kick back and enjoy- almost like a South Beach club. The restaurant actually exudes a nightclub atmosphere on Saturday night with live music. There are hookah pipes outside for your enjoyment and good food inside for all who visit.
